Students studying on the second year Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art & Design became teachers for the day at the NEC as part of the UK Skills Show ‘have a go’. Making use of original surface pattern design work digitally printed onto paper and fabric, the art and design students demonstrated the process of badge making and facilitated school and college students to learn the process. Working with people is a highly valued skill within the creative industries and students on the Extended Diploma course are given the opportunity to volunteer to act as coaches and mentors at internal and external events in order to support the development of communication skills and team work
